This isn't a
detailed walkthrough, but it might help you with some of the more
difficult parts.
*--Escaping the Haunted Mansion--*
In
order to leave the haunted mansion, you need a shrinking potion.
It's in a secret room located up in the
library.
Directions:
1. When you arrive at the
mansion, play the piano to make the corpse drop down at the top of
the stairs. Take the key off his body and head through the door
below you.
2. Go to the very end of the hall and through the
door on the right with a key. Read the book and note if you want,
then grab the key off the table. Head back to the stairs in the
previous room and enter the top floor. Head to the next area,
"lonely room."
3. Pass through here and enter the messed-up
library. Enter the door to the left(?) and descend into the small
storage room. Check the bloody splatter to find a key. This whole
place is taken from the book, "Axe Man."
4. Head back up the
stairs and use the key to travel to the Bell Tower. Ring the
bell.
5. Head back down and check the fireplace...you'll find
that the fire is gone and a door has appeared. Head through. You
will will now appear in a Cage. You will see a table, a crow, and
various other things in the room. The key on the table will unlock
the cage.
Check to the right of you, and you will see a bunch
of potions. Drink the green potion for telekinesis, and grab the key
off the table. Use it to unlock the door below you.
6. Next
you need to grab the potion off the chelf to the right. This is the
potion that will make you small enough to leave through the mansion
door. In order to escape the room, turn the wheel to the cage and
the head of the statue on the wall will move.
7. Beneath the
Statue head, will be three buttons. Two lead to a grisly death, one
opens a door back to the Library. Figure it out yourself.
8.
Now that you have the resizing potion, you can use it to leave the
mansion anytime you want. Be warned, if you take on the Bhaal Moloch
quest...there's a chance that you will lose this
item. --
*--Main Quest--*
1. Go to Suran, read the
papers you find hanging at the entrances or around town to learn of
the cave to the South east. If you enter the Inn, you can rest for a
dream sequence.
Head up to the cave and talking with the
Imperial Knight Camus. He will tell you about the dangers of the
cave, and a reward offered by the Empire to whomever can solve the
mystery.
Take the key and enter the dungeon.
2. Make
sure you have a good number of lanterns and head for the second
floor. When you reach a junction, move the boulder to the right to
find the butcher:
Cavern of the dead | Halls of the
Sinners -- Lower depths --> Butcher
Kill the butcher and
read the journal entry as well as the note on his body.
3.
When you reach the Pit of Agony, you will meet Damascus...an Angel
who fell in battle long ago. He and his companions were imprisoned
within Nanorian stones scattered about the dungeon...and if you find
them all, they will aid you against Lucifier, the Dark
Prince. __ Nanorian stone locations:
Nanorian stone of
Burning -- Located in Crypt of memories(Torture demons nest) (also
look for Claire's ashes nearby) Nanorian stone of Skulls --
Located in Halls of the sinner(need bone key) Nanorian stone of
Terror -- Located on a floating platform over a pit of Giant one-hit
kill spiders.(heavy lag, sorry) Nanorian stone of Burden
--Located in Cavern of the dead(need key) Nanorian stone of Blood
-- Located in Blood Dwlling(needed to escape) Nanorian stone of
Agony -- Located in Oblivion, Adramelech's tomb
4. To get to
the Insanity cradle, go to the butchery and head up the flight of
stairs just ahead. In the room with the bloody closet, check the
shelf nearby and grab the key hidden under a skull. Go down and
unlock the closer marked "666" to find a Fire Eye. Take this eye
down into the Troll lair and unlock the chest behind the transparent
demon. Inside, you will find a key that will unlock the Bloody
Closet. Before you leave, be sure to kill the demon...he has a
Burden key on him that will unlock the chest in Cavern of the dead
that holds the heavy-as-hell burden stone.
When you return to
the Butchery, check the closet to find the Cup of passage which you
can drink(try equipping it) to warp to the Insanity cradle. From
there, you can meet the mad Orc...who has also become corrupted like
the Butcher. When your done with him, whether you run or kill
him...head down to the Blood dwelling where the Blood stone is
located. You need the stone to leave.
5. The stone of Agony
is the toughest to obtain. You must travel through Oblivion,
probably the most god forsake place in the game. The monsters are
tough, and running is an excellent option. Especially when dealing
with Greater Dremora. Do not pass the two Statues in Oblivion while
armed, or they will attack. Just unequip your weapon. Once you've
completed the quest involving Zen, continue deeper into the depths
to find the Tomb of Adramelech.
Approach the Altar and kill
the Demon God. Once he is dead, you can climb the stairs behind his
altar to find the Stone of Agony. While your up there, you can also
snatch the Warrior's Gage...an excellent Gauntlet which enhances
your strength quite a bit.
6. Once you arrive in Black Hill,
head to the center of town where you will find the Gallow.
Talk to Clive and learn of his fate. Learn of the Prison
Warden and his dark dungeon...then say goodbye to Clive as he
plummets into darkness. Check the bucket to find what's left of his
body, as well as a key to the water well. Head down and go to the
upper right side of the sewer. Jump into the water and swim through
the grate to reach the next area. From here, head NE again to find a
door underwater. Drop down onto the path and head through another
ladder. Run through the hallway and into the next...when a set of
Portcullis fall down upon your path...head back the way you came to
find the exit gone.
There is a secret passageway hidden in
the darkness along the wall, so check it. Run down the hall and
through the webs as several portcullis drop down behind you.
Continue down the long tunnel until you reach the next area of the
sewer, the Prison entrance.
Fight through robot spiders and
evil dwemer creations, eventually you will find a large Portcullis
blocking the entrance to the prison. To unlock it, you must find
*four* special keys. Big red star-like keys. They are held by
monsters within this area. One is held by the demon assassin, who is
linked to the Butcher and mad orc...another is held by the
transparent spider and the third is found on the ground next to an
enormous dwemer boss. The last is held by Ozarus, Lucifier's pet
dragon. It can be found by passing through a grate near a pair of
zombies. You'll hear a loud roar. The key to his lair can be found
in the room behind the demon assassin.
Once you obtain all
the keys, enter the prison and make your way past several enemies.
Travel through the stomache of an unknown monster and enter
the Lair of "Raging Death." You don't have to kill this dragon, he's
optional...but grab the big key found at the center of the room.
Head back to the previous chamber(living dungeon) and enter the
Inferno room. Walk cautiously past the burning pit and prepare for
the Torture chamber where you will fight three tough dwemer demons.
Avoid their hands! <_<
To the right of the entrance is
a door that you can move to find a key. Continue on past the twisted
bodies and swaying cages to find the Warden's chamber. Kill the
warden to pick up another key, and be sure to check the book behind
him. It's the Necromicon...which might explain what happened to the
jail.
Look under the stairs to find a table with a small
locked chest. Use the key to open the chest and take the Dock Key. A
gate will appear above you, which you can take back to Black Hill.
Do whatever needs to be done, and head for the Docks. Use the key to
enter and talk to the Grim Reaper.
7. Once you have cross the
ocean of blood and arrived at the floating island, head to the
Cathedral to receive a warning. If you do not have the Nanorian
stones, it's advised that you do not proceed...'lest your in for a
big fight.
8. With or without the Nanorian stones, head
inside to find a beautiful angel. She will try to turn you away, and
tell you to leave the dungeon...go ahead and attack her when
prompted.
Doing so will reveal her true nature, and the
twisted arena where you will fight to the death. If you collected
the Nanorian stones, the angels will be there by your side to help
you. Only the angels within the stones you found will
appear.
Lucifier is accompanied by 6 "Darkness" monsters
which are easily killable. Once they are gone, allow your angel
companions to attack Lucifier with everything they have. He has
25,000 HP...so they should take a good chunk out of his health.
Eventually, they will all die and you will find yourself toe-to-toe
with the Black Winged Angel.
Use speed and the pillars to
your advantage, dodging his powerful magic the best you can. Run
forward and slash him from time to time using one of the strong
swords you obtained or enchanted within the dungeon.
When he
draws his flaming sword, *run* like Hell...because it will kill you
easily. When he sheaths it, resume your battle.
Eventually he
will fall back into the depths of Oblivion, leaving you to walk away
with your life. As you leave, you will receive a message telling you
to return and talk with Camus in Suran.
9. In Suran, you will
find Demons attacking the town. They will murder the guards and you
will have to fight them or run. Talk to Camus at the center of
town and take the strange rock he gives you. With the rock in hand,
return to the Dark Cathedral and approach the back of the chamber.
As you near, a strange portal will open...beaconing you to a
mysterious temple. There, you will meet a Great Sage who will reveal
your purpose in the dungeon. He will ask you to enter the "Great
Nanorian Stone" and defeat this powerful new foe.
When he is
gone, prepare yourself and enter the final sanctuary, where the last
great battle will take place. Don't enter unprepared.
The
rest...is up to you. --
Some bosses can't be beaten
normally, so here's a walkthrough for them:
Hell
Racer:
Not really a boss, but I made him harder in the patch.
He now has a lot more Health, but should die pretty fast if you hit
him with Frost attacks. Not tested, but should work. If it doesn't,
run like heck. :P
Lucifuges:
This boss is invincible.
If you read up on him in mythology, you would know that he hates the
light. Around his lair you will find eight large chests, in
each...you will find a Torch. He has 8,000+ HP, and each Torch takes
off 1,000 when you plant them in the correct spot within the
room.
The Beginning --> "Birth" Age of Mortality -->
"Growth" Decline into Madness --> "Disease" Development of
Being --> "Thought" Acceptance --> "Love" The Grinning
Skull --> "Death" Decay --> "Bone" Realization -->
"Gone"
Once each Torch has been planted in the correct spot,
smack Lucifuges once or twice with a good weapon to kill
him.
Ancient Dwemer Machine:
This is a no-brainer.
When William disappears, just kill everything you see. The Dwemer
spider will take out the machine's feet, the steam centurians for
the arms, and the Fabricant will remove the Chest Armor. Once the
Chest is gone, you will see the Heart of the machine. Aim slightly
below the heart to do damage(urk, annoying problem) and destroy it.
It only has 500 health, some of which can be depleted if you destroy
the chest first. The blasts from the other parts will do damage to
it. When it has disappeared, the room will fade. You will then face
the creature that manipulated Williams dreams and lived within the
machine.
Bhaal Moloch:
A warning, this is a very
difficult boss...especially without the patch. Fight him at your own
risk. You cannot return to his realm if you do not beat him. When
you enter his chamber, grab the Ring you see floating in the air to
start the battle.
You will be Fighting the Bull God, whose
enormous eye can be seen above you. He will cheaply attack you from
out of nowhere, bombing you with firey blasts. You will notice a
strange pot on the ground in front of you. If you've been to the
mansion(and you should have!) and obtained the Resize Potion, drop
it into the pot. This is where newborns and the like would be
fed...so when he swallows the potion, he will shrink down to a
smaller size. He is still a formidable opponent and there is little
room to fight...so beware. After the battle, you will obtain the
mighty Heaven-and-Hell Ring. It has some excellent effects, but some
bad ones as well. (cough...heaven and hell) --
There's a
lot more, but I'll stop there.

That work that
was done on this mod is incredible...as good as any of the expansion
packs...better in fact....too much to do.
Now a question if I
might?
Per the walkthrough above, I did grab the ring and all
I got was walls and a feeding pot. I assume I have to feed the pot
to get the fight but I don't have any clue what to feed
it

And I have
killed the invisible something or other inside of the barriers...but
nothing happens after it is "dead?"

What...your
not suppose to kill those. I gave them tons and tons of health and
tons and tons of luck. They just shoot fireballs at you. Turn off
your god mode.
Your suppose to click on the pot, then drag and drop the
potion into its inventory to start the battle.

Bhaal?.....You made one nasty mod by the way....this one kept me

*shoots you* Well, you can return to the dungeon at
any time to collect the items or do that quest. In order to travel
to Moloch's realm, you need seven items. One of those items is in
the haunted house, the Ram Coin.
Now...in order to leave the
Mansion, you need the Resizing potion. You need to put that item in
the pot for Moloch to appear.

Well, you just
came back from the Butcery, which send you to the insanity cradle
and blood dwelling. Next, you should probably head down into the Pit
of Agony.
There's a cage at the top of the room with a key,
and the door is at the bottom of that area, under the stairs. From
there, it's pretty straight-forward until you reach the Outer
Hell.

Sorry, I
didn't know what you were asking. Things like that aren't too
tough to find...but I did hide some things cleverly. Did anyone find
the key I hid at the top of nightmare's chamber? hm!?
It unlocks the chest on the other side of the Pit of
Agony.
Anyhow, here's another short walkthrough...for the
Locked House.
*--The Locked House--*
This is a short
walkthrough for the Locked House located in Black Hill. If you
successfully make your way through, your reward will be a Ring that
allows you to teleport in or out of the dungeon.
1. If you
check the right side of the building, you will find a rat next to
the small door leading into the pawn shop. Check the windows to the
left to find a strange face staring out at you. Pluck the bone from
his eye and head through the front door.
Note: "There's blood
pouring out from where the eye was, but it's hardly noticed if you
don't have a light or something on you."
2. When you enter
the house, you will find yourself in a strange room with a locked
door. In order to escape, do the following:
a# Grab the key
off the chair under the hanging body. b# Check under one of the
napkins on the shelf nearby for the second key. c# Unlock the
chest under the bed to find the first eyeball. d# Check the sack
near the door to find the second chest. Unlock it for the second
eyeball. e# Check the mask on the shelf. Check it two more times
to insert both eyes. f# When both eyes have been inserted, check
the mask again to find a key.
3. Now you can unlock the door.
Head out and proceed down the glowing halls. [LightningFlik is
not responsible for any seizures that may occur.] All the doors
here are locked except the large one near the end. If you take a
left, you'll find a Hell Baron hiding behind one of the doors. He
can be a tough opponent, don't be a victim of his Baron Holding
attacks. Past the large door, you will suddenly be dropped into
another room.
4. This room is completely empty except for a
chest nearby that contains a strange skull weapon. It might seem
useless, but it has a nice enchantment on it.
It should work nicely on Mages. When your done, strike the flame at
the center of the room for a pathway to appear. At this very moment,
a Dark Horror will pop into the room from behind you. Run, and don't
get hit by her poison.
5. Head down the hall and through the
door. You'll find yourself in a stranger place. This room will have
dozens of doors...and all lead to Death except one. whee To
start off, read the sign nearby. It says:
"Only one door in
this room leads to freedom, the others...death. Which is the real
door?"
May not seem obvious, but that's the solution to this
puzzle. If you read the words carefully, you'll know that the door
you need to head through is marked "12." cough: one=1 to=
2
You can shoot me later. Each door in this room has its own
key. You will need the key with a "12" engraved on it. The key can
be found stuck in door 14. Check the lock. The other doors lead to a
quick death, or a room full of evil spirits.
6. Door 12 is
located on the ceiling to the right of the Fireplace. Head through
to arrive at the final room. Again, a no brainer. Head into the room
on your right and check around for keys. There are three
keys:
a# One is under a Pillow on the bed. b# One is on
top of the Closet next to the bed. c# One is hidden next to the
Cushions.
Once you have the correct key, open one of the
three chests to find...another key. Use
it to open the door across the hall. Head inside and look around. In
a container on the other side of the room, you will find the Flesh
Ring. This is your reward. Use it to leave this foul place
forever.

hehe...the
Locked House has the Flesh Ring, which you need to escape. It's a
ring that allows you to teleport around in the dungeon. Very handy.
You just equip it.
"um theres a town? um where? okay um tell
me where to go from the door of the pit of agony I'm in the cavern
of the dead I believe it is and well point me out from
there....please"
From the Cavern of the dead, you must go
through the door to the pit of agony. The key to that hatch is in
the cage which hangs from the ceiling. In the pit of agony, you
will meet a Plot NPC, then continue forward until you reach
Nightmare's lair, the Outer Hell, and the Arena. Kill the two
brothers and take the key items they carry. One is a key to the
town, the other opens the door to Oblivion.
There's optional
stuff all around...do whatever you please. Some stuff is just there
for fun, serving no purpose. Usually just free weapons and
items.

Great, crazy,
insane mod! Love it! I'm stuck! I'm way the hell past the Haunted
Mansion. I've swam through a bunch of caverns and come to Section C.
I can't get through the door there to the Residential Halls (or
whatever). There's a skeleton there with his hands up in terror. I
went back and killed the 3 demon's in the first part of the section
but I didn't find anything on them other than the weapons. What am I

That section
is from the Dining Hall in the Haunted Mansion. Go down to Shrine,
open hidden wall. Swim through some rooms and you find some strange
lost dwarven underwater base (Section D). You swim through some
caverns to section C. That's where I'm stuck. Do I go back from here
or open the door to the Residential halls and keep going?

This looks
like a great Mod, and I would love to do it...Unfortunitly, I can't
see a darn thing...
No matter how many Torches I equip...Darkness...In vanity mode the
torch can't even be seen
I am using "Lights 300", wondering if this might cause a
conflict...Any suggestions? OK, figured it out..The key is use
the "Bright Lantern" when you first enter the Dungeon...Hmmm, now I
can see...EEEEKKK!!!!

As I said
before, I threw a Cow level(ala Diablo 2) in for fun.
Bloody
fields, Gubrez, the desert area, and pandemonium are
pointless...just good places to check out, since I had planned to
expand on them for a future add-on.
Do cows really scare you
that much?

I'm at a bit
of an impass within the haunted mansion. After entering the place I
proceeded to basically mess with everything I could, and go through
every door available. Unfortunately, I eventually ran out of
options, and still I cant get out of there. Opon reading your
walkthrough, I found out what the problem was: playing the piano,
while issuing a catchy tune, doesnt cause a body to drop at the top
of the stairs. Since it has a vital key, I'm kinda screwed. I've
tried loading an earlier save from before I entered the town, but
got the same result. Any ideas?
Also, I have to add that this
is one of the coolest mods I've played for morrowind, and you
definitely suceeded in creaping the bajeesus outta me on several
occasions.

Well, it
doesn't fall down the stairs or anything...a hole appears near the
ceiling and a body will be hanging down from it.
Go to the
top of the stairs and look up at the ceiling, grab the key off the
body. If it doesn't appears, it's probably a glinch.

So, is Section
C the end of Gubrez? No Residential Halls yet? I just don't want to
miss anything.

Nope, nothing
else. It was just an introduction, since I wanted to turn it into a
large underwater quest. I wanted something with an "event horizon"
feel. I thought the idea of being lost in dark tunnels far beneath
the ocean was a pretty scary idea, with fog horns and bodies
floating outside the windows.

The children
looking forward to their sacrifices so they could meet their friends
again was probably my favorite part (for the whole surreal "WTF"
factor), but I loved Gubrez. Event Horizon was a kooky movie, but it
was the first movie in a long time that scared me. The scene
involving being posessed into starting the airlock sequence and THEN
waking up REALLY irked me.

If your talking
about that door in Nightmare's lair, check behind the throne.
It's on the left side against the wall.
Also...something that
a lot of people probably missed, is that secret key at the top of
the area. It unlocks a chest hanging over the Pit of
Agony.

I was really getting into that
part. It was a bitch just getting to that area. I'm sure some people
never found it. I hope you addon to that area.

so...do you
anticipate any point in the near future that you would become bored
enough to make an add-on or two for this mod? Another question, Have
you gotten any negative feedback at all? So far everyone seems to
love having the crap scared out of them.

Yes, I hope I
become bored enough to do one this coming break. (or maybe get a
job cough)
Well,
I've had people like my friend say the mod feels like a maze...and
you can't really get through certain parts without the walkthrough
or patience(from dying repeatedly).
Other than that, just
stuff concerning the areas I threw in for fun. Those were areas for
the add-on...so I just gave a sneak-peak, so to say, so I wish
people wouldn't get so disappointed. :P
Believe me, Gubrez
will be scarier and much much longer than that. The sea tunnels
stretch out for miles and miles.

umm, I found a
"secret chest" how do I open it? Also, their is a chest in a caged
in area with a giant bonewalker (hellspawn) that you need to
levitate to get to. How do you open that? Looks great, although I
think it would be a little bit more frightening if you took away the
lanterns and just added a bit of red light to the areas. That would
freak me out.

I know you
shouldn't reply to your own posts, but I figured my question out.
Now I have another question
Where exactly is the stone of terror? There are about 70 floating
platforms in the nest of terror, I checked the largest one and I
found the spider key. Does this open a chest that contains the
stone? Its the only one i haven't found..
